Public Hearing for the 2015-2016 Clinton Budget

Hi All I have reviewed the proposed Clinton Town and Education Budgets to be presented at a Public Hearing to be held in the Town Hall on Wednesday 4/08/015 at 7 PM. The following is the result of my review of the Proposed Budget.

Total Proposed Budget To be raised by Taxes

2014/2015 $ 48,409,010 $ 39,467,555

2015-2016 $ 49,792,568 $ 40,429,890

$ Increase +$ 1,383,558 +$ 962,335

% Increase 2.78% 2.40%

Note: 1. The amount raised by taxes, after state aid etc., is 2.40 % this is the amount that your Mill rate will increase if the budget is sent to Referendum and passes. ( this may also change due to the Tax collection % rate determined by the BOF)

2. FYI the Town of Clinton has just concluded a revaluation of

your property for the October 1st 2015 Grand List. The new assessed value of your property will appear on your 2016/2017 tax bill that will arrive in July 2017.
