Budget Defeated / 2nd Referendum Scheduled

Notice from CBA Clerk - 5/9/2013: The proposed Clinton 2013-2014 school budget and town budget were defeated at the May 8th referendum. The school budget was defeated by a margin of 90 votes, and the town budget was defeated by a margin of 373 votes. Following the referendum, the Board of Finance voted to reduce the school budget by $49,000 and the town budget by $175,000.
A second Clinton 2013-2014 budget referendum will be held on May 22, 2013 in the Clinton Town Hall from 6 am to 8 pm. All Clinton taxpayers with property assessed at $1,000 or more are eligible to vote. It is important that you vote. Attached to this Notice is an official absentee ballot application.
